Spring capsule - basics

/ So here’s a quick halfway update on how I’m doing with my capsule experiment. It is going very well, but this season (spring) has been a little bit harder than my very first one, which was the winter season last year. I don’t know if it is the weather and temperatures, or my former shopaholic ghost inside me, but I have had to make a few adjustments a couple of times already. Now I finally feel like I’ve come up with a system, that suits me and my minimal style perfectly. I’ve decided that the plain basic tops (the ones you see above) doesn’t count as part of my seasonal capsule that only contains 37 pieces of clothing. That leaves a few more spots for trending products, that will keep my wardrobe fresh and up-to-date. Not that I will buy a dozen of those, but it is nice to have room for just a few of the passing trends. The basics are suitable for all seasons, and I think they are essentials just like underwear and socks, and that’s why I don’t think they should count as pieces in my capsule. So I guess my system is now a mix between the french Five Piece wardrobe (that I followed before) and the capsule system. Just perfect! Please have in mind, that I have a separate mini-capsule for evening/occasional wear, so that is why you don’t see any heels or pumps here. This is my everyday-wear capsule.
