The perfect grey cardigan to take you through winter.

/ Many of you guys where over the moon for my lovely grey wool cardigan, that I posted an outfit with on my Instagram the other day. I actually use it quite a lot, even though I rarely share an outfit with it on my social channels. My cardigan is from the Danish brand Inwear and it’s from their 50th anniversary collection from last year. I love that it has almost a kimono fit (although it’s not that practical to wear underneath a coat) and the quality in 100% wool is just lovely. I like to wear it on especially the days I work at my home-office or whenever I just feel like throwing on something cozy. It’s one of those items you can really snuggle up in.

similar options (adlinks)

/ unfortunately I haven’t been able to find my exact cardigan since it is from lat year (why don’t they make an awesome piece like this part of their basic collection?), but I’ve found some really cool similar options for you guys. Whenever I buy knitwear it’s important to me that the majority of the composition is natural fibres – preferably the entire composition but that’s not always an easy task to find. Surprisingly many brands (also the more expensive ones) like to use a majority of synthetic fibres, which I don’t completely follow, especially since the price is often not more affordable for that reason. I like to go for 100% wool, merino wool, cashmere, alpaca or similar or wool blends like a mohair-mix that is a bit more fuzzy in the surface. I also like a good 100% cotton knit, because it stays nice for a long time. Especially the surface keeps nice and smooth through time. I stay away from most pure synthetic compositions like polyamid, polyacryl (acryllic), nylon and polyester. Please note that these can easily be used in a mix with natural fibres in a nice garment, but as soon as they are the main composition in an item, I just don’t think that it lasts very well and in my opinion it looks cheap too. Anyway, I found some options for you guys here that are similar to my cardigan, since you were a lot who asked for an alternative. I hope you find something you like!
