Our minimalist bathroom

/ Although I have previously published both a video and another post both with my thoughts about avoiding plastics and what environmentally friendly products I can not live without in the bathroom, I think it’s super important to talk openly about the journey it is , trying to live more sustainable. You will face challenges because our society is not there yet, where it is “normal”, for example, to buy 100% natural products or products that doesn’t come in plastic containers plastic. But if you don’t look after yourself, you end up isolating yourself and stress yourself out on this journey. And that’s far from what we want when approaching this lifestyle!

/ To start out with it was more about minimizing my consumption and only keeping the things that really worked for me. After that I slowly began to replace conventional products with more eco-friendly ones, as I emptied what I already had. As you will also see in the video at the bottom of the post, it will not happen over one night to change your habits. And in addition, it takes a long time to explore new brands and products, and find out what works for you. I take small steps at a time, but have nevertheless come a long way in the process. So far, I’ll soon be ready to look at our consumption habits in the kitchen and scullery too. We spend quite some time in the bathroom and therefore I have tried to make it cozy out there. I like green plants, scented candles and wooden decor which compliments our large open bathroom quite well. It just becomes more cozy that way! Anyway, if you want a look inside our bathroom and hear a little more about where I am in this process, watch the video in the bottom of this post!
