Style: I ain’t no dress-girl.

Last Thursday I was wearing the above when I was at work at the office at the Danish women’s wear brand I work parttime for, and I felt so good in this look. Of course I wore my wool coat and big ol’ scarf layered on top, let’s just be real here. I actually think blazers are great for layering underneath wool coats in general during winter, because it’s a great layering piece to keep you extra warm. Through time I’ve also come to peace with the fact that I’ll never be a dress-girl. I think that’s particularly why I feel extra ‘strong’ in a look like this. There’s just some kinda power in a well-cut blazer together with a pair of jeans, right?

To me the little details does the trick in a look like this; a handfull of jewelry, a belt, a great back and a pair of rockin’ boots. That’s kind of become my mantra of dressing too, both when it comes to everyday or evening looks. I can’t be bothered spending too much time picking out the base of my outfit (it just has to be comfy and work), I’d rather spend some more time making those little details count. I’m dreaming of expanding my jewelry collection too (especially with pieces from here or here) just so that you have the opportunity of making different combos every now and then. Maybe I’ll find some cool pieces when I’m going vintage shopping on London next week.

I’ve especially become happy with these jeans again, after cutting of the hem last fall to make them more edgy and more cropped. I love this contrast between the dressy and edgy, you know! Anyway, just some random thought about dressing in timeless outfits and feeling great about your own preferences in general. I hope you’ll have a wonderful week!

I sometimes feel bad for not wearing dresses or skirts more often, but this post made me feel so much better! I always gravitate towards a nice pair of pants with a fitted top and a sweater. If it is a fancy event, I LOVE throwing on a jumpsuit. Dresses just aren’t my favorite! This outfit looks amazing on you.

Her får du en...
