IMPROVED CASPULE WARDROBE MASTERCLASS LAUNCHING SEP 2022 – SIGN UP TO GET NOTIFIED

How to deal with passing trends.

/ Trends OK in my opinion, when you have a capsule wardrobe. However, there is a huge “but” in this context, and that is that they must be implemented in your wardrobe in a controlled way. Some trends you need to just let pass, unless you want to start allover building the dream wardrobe you struggle so hard building. I mostly go for the trend products, which already are very close to my style and fits in with the rest of my wardrobe. I don’t jump in with both feet every time I spot something new and trendy, even though sometimes it can be really hard! In the real world, I am often asked if I still “do my closet that special way that I do”, and yes – I do. I do it in a slightly different way now than just six months ago, but my message and my goals are still the same; buying less new clothes, and find other ways in which I can have fun with my passion for fashion, than just buying new things all the time. And not least, use and be sincerely happy for the things I have in my closet.

Having a capsule wardrobe certainly doesn’t need to be boring or mean that you have a closet filled with colorless, basic clothes – although many people who love minimalism really appreciates this style. Maybe you don’t – maybe you really love colors and prints. It doesn’t really matter. I really like giving you tips that do not directly require a “convert” by the people who do not think that much about how much new clothes they buy (or have the same style and taste like me for that matter). I just want to inspire you so you learn to take the final steps towards a more “slow” and green approach to fashion. It’s not going to happen at once, but we have to start somewhere right? Therefore, I try to respect the reasons that many women love fashion and new clothes, while I come up with tips on how they can change their buying habits. Kind of meeting you halfway, instead of demanding you to stop buying things. Hopefully you will realize all by yourself, that you learn to be more comfortable with your true style while we do something active to slow down the fashion industry – not to mention doing our environment a huge favour.

So glad I found your blog/blog about 4 months ago – your look and method of communicating is spot on. I make all my own clothes and frankly I’m tired of the sewing blog thing where people show something new that they’ve made every week – seriously new items every week and sometimes more often than that.I make almost everything I wear and you’ve inspired me to make for longevity – thank you x
