Planning my autumn capsule 2021 (plus a bit about life phases and evolving your style sustainably)

An old outfit from 2017 I very much still see myself wearing today Vi går min yndlings tid i møde, og selvom jeg ved nogle af jer synes det er lidt for tidligt, at snakke efterår (især de af jer som elsker sommer) – så kan jeg simpelthen ikke skjule min...

Autumn capsule 2020 (a realistic & simple approach)

by use less | Aug 30, 2020 | Capsule wardrobe guides

This year I’ve (as I mention in the video below) chosen, to keep my autumn capsule wardrobe even more simple than usually. It looks a lot like the one I made last year, but I’ve narrowed it down to only 30 items this time around. The reason why I’ve...
Why you want to dig deeper than “organic cotton” & “recycled polyester”

Why you want to dig deeper than “organic cotton” & “recycled polyester”

One of the things I try to always keep in mind through my work with sustainability is, that we all have different starting points. Some people know a lot, some people know a little, we all have different budgets and what might be accessible to some people might not be...

Anti-newness: how to embrace your worn-out clothes.

The other day I published a video (linked in the bottom of this post), where I’m sharing some of my best hacks to repair your wardrobe. Maybe you have a pair of shoes that are too tight, pants that no longer fit you or something similar. Another thing I...
Classic neutrals you can wear every spring.

Classic neutrals you can wear every spring.

by use less | Mar 13, 2019 | Capsule wardrobe guides, Style

Even though I’m especially loving the neutral colour palette this spring season, it’s really a very classic thing to go for this time of year. I love whites, creams, beige and brown. These are not only timeless types of colours – I’d say that...

When distance creates clarity 💭 Last year I steppe When distance creates clarity 💭 Last year I stepped away from the life I had built for years as being self employed. Not because it wasn’t good - but because life suddenly felt heavy in ways I hadn’t experienced before. Going from one to two children, little sleep, a body full of hormones, and a nervous system trying to keep up with a completely new rhythm. It was impossible to run ‘business as usual’ through that lens.

Under all that pressure I chose stability. I closed my business as a knew it and took on a fulltime job in marketing. And I’m grateful I listened to that version of myself.

But distance has a quiet way of creating clarity.

Somewhere along the way, the fog lifted. We found the answers to why our little one isn’t sleeping at night, life softened again, and I suddenly see how deeply my old way of working aligned with the life I want to live. As a mother, as a creative, and as a woman running her own business.

I don’t regret any of the decisions I made this past year, because it’s made me realise that I never lost my direction. I just needed a break to calibrate everything back into place. Regain some confidence in what I’m capable of too.

I’m very excited that I’ll be stepping back into self-employment this spring, with calmer, clearer boundaries, and a deeper trust in the pace I want to build my work and my life around.

Sometimes moving away is exactly what allows you to come back home. 🫶🏻
