12 classic summer staples to invest in

12 classic summer staples to invest in

by use less | Aug 7, 2020 | Capsule wardrobe guides

Summer has (I’m tempted to say; as expected) decided to return full force here in august, so even though I’m already longing for my fave season of them all, autumn, I don’t think it’s the slightest bit too late to share a bit of summer...

Eco-friendly fashion: how to make the first steps easier on yourself

by use less | Jan 21, 2020 | Capsule wardrobe guides

These tips are beyond supporting ethical fashion brands (which is of course also essential). So this post has more focus on “using what you have” than “shopping for new” – but should you be interested in delving into the amazing world of sustainable fashion...

Winter capsule 19 pt. 1: visual idea & planning

by use less | Nov 21, 2019 | Capsule wardrobe guides

I cannot believe that 2019 has come to an end! It’s so cliché (and I seem to always mention this in my winter capsule posts, haha), but oh boy has this year just flown by. I remember it like just yesterday that I decided to go full-on self employed, we moved...
Old faves in new ways: a simple way to update your good old blazer

Old faves in new ways: a simple way to update your good old blazer

by use less | Oct 14, 2019 | Capsule wardrobe guides

The other day I shared a video on Youtube, which was another episode in my “steal her style” series, where I challenge myself to come up with new outfits, by only using things I already have in my wardrobe. One of the ways to do this is by looking for...

Stepping a little out of my comfortzone with this outfit combo

by use less | Sep 17, 2019 | Style

As you guys might remember from the overview of my autumn capsule, I’ve added this skirt to my everyday wardrobe this year. It’s been part of my occasion wear capsule for some time because on a daily basis, I’m just not that keen on dresses and...

When distance creates clarity 💭 Last year I steppe When distance creates clarity 💭 Last year I stepped away from the life I had built for years as being self employed. Not because it wasn’t good - but because life suddenly felt heavy in ways I hadn’t experienced before. Going from one to two children, little sleep, a body full of hormones, and a nervous system trying to keep up with a completely new rhythm. It was impossible to run ‘business as usual’ through that lens.

Under all that pressure I chose stability. I closed my business as a knew it and took on a fulltime job in marketing. And I’m grateful I listened to that version of myself.

But distance has a quiet way of creating clarity.

Somewhere along the way, the fog lifted. We found the answers to why our little one isn’t sleeping at night, life softened again, and I suddenly see how deeply my old way of working aligned with the life I want to live. As a mother, as a creative, and as a woman running her own business.

I don’t regret any of the decisions I made this past year, because it’s made me realise that I never lost my direction. I just needed a break to calibrate everything back into place. Regain some confidence in what I’m capable of too.

I’m very excited that I’ll be stepping back into self-employment this spring, with calmer, clearer boundaries, and a deeper trust in the pace I want to build my work and my life around.

Sometimes moving away is exactly what allows you to come back home. 🫶🏻
